While attempting to log into a HackerRank test, candidates can experience the following errors. Refer to the corresponding troubleshooting section to resolve each issue.
Error 1: HackerRank Test Platform is at Capacity
The HackerRank for Work platform supports simultaneous logins by multiple candidates. However, during periods of high traffic, the platform limits the number of concurrent users to ensure a smooth experience. If this limit is exceeded, candidates will see the following error message.
Troubleshooting
This issue is typically temporary. If you encounter the above error message, consider the following actions:
- Retry Logging In: Wait a few minutes and try logging in again. Ensure that your attempt falls within the designated login window.
- Contact Your Hiring Manager: If the login window expires and you still cannot access the test due to the error, reply to your test invitation email or contact the recruiter directly to report the issue.
Error 2: Invite cancelled
This error occurs when the test invite has been canceled by the recruiter or hiring team. More details can be viewed in the candidate view article.
Troubleshooting
Reply to the test invitation email, inform the recruiter about the issue, and request a new invitation.
Error 3: Test is not active at this time
This error appears when a candidate attempts to access a test after its expiration date and time.
Troubleshooting
Reply to the test invitation email and ask the recruiter to extend the test's expiration date.
Error 4: Test is currently not available
If the recruiter edits the test after sending out invitations, the test status may change from Published to Draft, causing this error.
Troubleshooting
Reply to the test invitation email, inform the recruiter of the situation, and ask them to republish the test.
Error 5: Unable to Login
Candidates can log in using platforms like Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, GitHub, or by creating a HackerRank account with a password. Incorrect login credentials will result in a login failure message.
Troubleshooting
- Double-check your email and password or credentials for the platform you are using to log in.
- If necessary, use the "Forgot Password" option to reset your account credentials.
