Overview
In HackerRank Tests, subjective questions are open-ended questions where candidates are expected to explain their answer to a given question. Subjective questions may require candidates to write essay-type answers and provide definitions, scenarios, or opinions in plain text.
Steps to Answer Subjective Questions
Here is a quick video to get you started with the Answering Subjective questions workflow.
Or, if you prefer to follow directions, here are the steps for your ready reference.
Steps
- In your Test, select the Subjective question or click on Solve.
- In the Answer section, type your answer and click Submit answer & continue. Your answer is saved. You can revisit this question and modify your submitted answer any number of times before the Test ends.
Note: Your test setter may organize the questions across different sections in the Test, and these sections can have specific time limits to complete and submit the answers. In some cases, if the time allocated for a section has elapsed or you have already submitted the answer, you will not be allowed to change the answer submissions.
